FAQs

How many sessions will I need?

The number of sessions all depends on the subject material. Most students set up a recurring schedule to stay on top of things. Others may only need help with a particular topic. We are all different, and so is our leaning processes. However, a weekly or biweekly schedule is recommended. A session is one-hour in length.

How much will each session cost?

The price of each meeting really depends on the subject matter and the complexity of the topic. For instance, assisting in elementary reading or math may only run $25 per hour, while complex differential equations might be $35 per hour. We will agree on the price prior to the meeting so there will be no surprises.

Is there a discount for booking multiple sessions in advance?

For those wanting to establish a more structured study routine, I offer a prepaid package deal of $100 for 5 one-hour sessions. (A discount of $20 from the individual session price.) This is recommended if continued tutoring is anticipated, and is payable in advance.

If I require tutoring in multiple subjects, what is the best option?

Your best option is to purchase a prepaid package. This will provide you an extra hour's worth of services versus purchasing the sessions individually.

With the homeschool package, are there additional requirements?

Since each state can have different homeschool reporting requirements, it is a good idea to know the specific requirements for your state of residence. I provide a transcript of each term with the following information:

  • A list of the courses studied
  • Course description to include material covered
  • Homeschool credits given per course
  • Grading scale
  • Course grades
  • Final grade
  • GPA
While most states do not require a student to pass a semester assessment in each course, I find it helpful. If your state does require an assessment to be taken, I will work with you to determine the best options for your student. This may be completed at a testing center in your area.

Each week we will cover a number of topics, have tasks or activities to complete, and finish with an assessment at the end of each unit.

We will work together to determine any additional requirements for your state of residence, which may not be available in this program. For instance, a high school curriculum in your state may require two-years or more of a foreign language. While this is not covered in the homeschool package, I will work with you to determine how this can be incorporated into your plan.

What are my payment options?

Payment for services can be paid in multiple ways... I accept credit and debit cards, Paypal, Venmo, and cold hard cash.
